I use felt soled wading boots with my Caddis fins and a hard soled neoprine bootie from BARE that slips over your sock foot waders when I use my force fins. You need something if you are gonna walk in your waders much. Some people just wear a pair of sneakers that will fit ove the foot of the waders until they get to the water and then put thier fins on and stash the sneaks in a pocket in the tube. That is what I used to do 30 years ago when swim fins were your only choice.
