Are felt boots history?

I think it is because the felt FREEZES to the rocks[laugh]
I am sold on the new soles by Simm's. I have the Aquastealth with screw in carbide. The little circles act like suction cups, but the old man got the new Vibram sole is awesome. He hasn't added the carbide to his and they are like a combination.
I use to think the felt with studs was the best there was, but the diSadvantage like Lurch mentioned about snow sticking to the sole is a BIG problem. Darn near broke my ankle. I have used the aquastealth for close to 10 years and I will never go back to felt....vibram yes.
