Who's ready for Henry's Lake????
#44
FG, I did buy a type II sinking line last year. I tried a few leech patterns and streamers, but the morning we started it was about 24F and everything kept freezing. We did try a few worms but had no luck that way either. We started by the cliffs, but there were not many fish there as we found out later, they were all down by the county dock in the shallows. That is when we started trolling and it was just easier with all the different people that were with us. I do nymph a lot on the local rivers and streams and actually prefer this to dry fly. I usually fish with 3 nymphs spaced about 10"-12" apart and all different until I get the pattern and color narrowed down. I am going to try the nymphing this year for sure and the chronomids at Henry's. I just need to figure out some sort of slip indicator for the deeper areas.
As far as the toon, I do have a Colorado atm, but I am looking at buying a new one (NFO). I do like fishing from the toon as it is quite relaxing and peaceful.
I am sure the weather will still be interesting in June. That is just my luck, but I am just hoping for a little warmer temps is all. I don't care really if it is raining or cloudy, just don't need the wind or snow. I have a personnel goal to pull something out of Henry's around 10 lbs. [fishin]
