From what I've been told, in a normal year it's ice off about 1st week in May. However, last year wasn't a "normal" year by recent accounts, although it was from what I remember as a kid, and it was ice off less than a day before opening on Memorial weekend. I find the best, or at least easiest source of info, is to to call the Wild Rose Ranch up there. They have been more than willing the past couple years to give me up to date info on the lake whenever I call. I usually call a few times starting a week before I plan to be there.
