2009 BFT Willard Bay Tournament!!
fishfinfool
I wanted to spend more time on the north side this year, I have the south end figured out as far as the cat fish go, But like you said the water level is up this year it could be a hole new ball game. I got out on the north end in october and just nocked the wiper dead with a chrome and blue rattle trap. I think that lure will be my starting piont also this year.
The thing i learned with the cat fish on the south side while drifting is your line had to be out only far enough from the boat to hit bottom, if it was any more or any less the strikes can few and far between, The jig that worked the best for me was dark balck and brown tiped with a crawler, its a flat jig the only place i could find them is at sportsmans warehouse in the walleye jig section,
The walleye i caught last season were all on a weewart of the same color long lineling had to be bouncing on bottom. Man am i having fun, Utah fishing is like a hole new world to me, Everthing i used to use is out the door and the new stuff is still to be figured out. It just dont get any better.[laugh]
We are headed for Utah lake in the morning. Never been there and looking forward to it.
