The first time I ever fished Henrys was when I was seven out of my dads canoe. We had a 6 horse merc on it. I guess that would make it a skanoe? We caught the kind of fish dreams are made of. We got away from the shore out towards the middle then the storm hit. It was opening day so you all know how cold the water was. Me and my nine year old brother were bailing with buckets while my dad tried to keep it pointed into the waves. It took us an hour to make it back to shore. The waves were litterally 6-8 feet tall. We eventually made it back to shore without capsizing. It was the closest I've ever come to dying. My dad was sick for days over it. Needless to say we are very respectful of the weather at Henrys. I think 5 pound brookies are worth the risk though.
