It's funny how something becomes 'new' again. There was an article in BASS and I think they called it "flip-shot". I used this technique in Texas a couple years ago to suspend a bait in the pockets of shoreline moss. The water was only about 2' deep and you could see the male guarding the nest. It would stare at the stickbait until I gave the line slack and it would flutter down on the nest and BAM!
