I was talking to a factory rep at the boatshow (I think it was Smokercraft's) and he said that after many consecutive years of having CD players be their number one warranty issue they finally gave up. He said they went through about 5 different marine specific brands and had major skipping and reliability issues with the CD players in all of them. The humidity and pounding of a marine environment was just too much for any of them to take. Now they only offer AM/FM head units with aux inputs and let customers add their own portable CD/MP3/Ipod if they want.
