Just curious since both FG and FOD are very familiar with Rock Creek which is a great dry fly stream. What streamer techniques have you guys found practical and effective there? I find myself switching from dries to streamers occasionally when I knew there is probable a lunker in those undercutts that I just can't tempt with a dry. I've alway continued to use floating line there and just switch to a weighted streamer and throw it across and upstream a bit. I just don't think you get anything more than flight if you throw it straight across. By the time the fish can take a look and consider the fight part I imagine in the smaller holes the streamer is out of sight. But I'm always willing to retry or try new techniques if you guys have suggestions.
