Echo Bay

Launched out of Echo Bay Monday March 2. Hit the water at 0630. Went directly to Overton beach and trolled with whole anchovies. Between three of us we caught about 8 stripers in a couple hours. Thot we found the perfect spot and dropped anchor and fished with anchovies, caught 2 in 2 hours. Started trolling back towards Stewarts point caught 5 more in about 45 minutes. All were 1 to 3 lbs and fat. Weather was gorgeous. I was going to launch at Overton but NDOW didn't know if it was available and said to call Lk Mead . Call Lake Mead they told me it hasn't been useable for awhile. I saw 5 boats come out of Overton ramp. They were the same size or bigger than mine. I have a 16 ft Tracker,one fella told me it has about 3 feet of water at the ramp. So now I have had my first official fishing trip for 2009. Oh yeah beer batter bass is awesome !
