I got one of these about 8 or 9 years ago.

They are supposed to need backpressure to work properly, so I expected it to burn and wear out.
It is still going strong.
Probably it's lasted because I don't deflate the tube fully, just letting about 1/3rd to 1/2 out, and squishing it into the trunk to go home, so there has never been more than one or two "full inflations" during it's life.
