Walleye Fishing
#5
Here's a super awesome killer lure that will slay the walleyes for you, the best thing about it is it will only cost about $2.00 and you'll get four of them. The lure is a 4" glow in the dark curly tail grub by freshwater basics that they sell at Sportsman's Wherehouse and other places. I think the size jig head that I use is 1/8 ounce, but you could use a size larger or smaller than that.

I havn't fished for walleye in a river before but I bet this jig would work just as good in a river as it does in a lake, just cast it at a 45 degree angle upstream and jig it back to you as the current takes it downstream. Play with the speed/jiggiing motion until you find out exactly what the walleye want. I'd start slower rather than fast though. The best time to catch walleye in the Spring is about an hour before sunset into the night. Take a flashlight or a camera with you and use it to charge up the jig's glow every couple of minutes.

I'm certainly no expert on catching them, but the info I've just shared with you has worked for me. Try it out and experiment with other lures/techniques and I'm sure you'll do just fine. Good luck. [fishon]
