You just never know when or where they're going to pop up. A few years ago my friend came out from Connecticut to visit and go fishing with me, and I decided to take him to Lower Fish Creek. We had hiked down about five miles from the parking lot, when my friend realized that he had left his license in the car. Well, we weren't about to hike all the way back for it, so we figured there's no way a warden is going to be all the way down here, we'll chance it. So of course one shows up to check our licenses about an hour later. She was nice and gave him the option of sending in a copy of his license wherein the ticket would be waived. It's funny too that some people say they never get checked in Idaho. The first time I fished there, I was checked in the first hour.
