I guess it's just luck, but I have been checked at least 30 to 40 times in the last 15 years in Idaho and Utah. I have never had a problem with an officer in Idaho, and only once with a Utah officer (license not on person). In all the times I have been checked, whether it be in a boat, on the ice, or through a spotting scope, I have never been irritated for them being there. It seems like when they need to be there for some lawbreaker, they aren't and that is the irritating part. I guess we can discuss this stuff all day but the fact is, the officers are doing their job great, the politics above them is the problem.
