I know what you're saying about putting a fish back that you know is going to die. I got in trouble one spring at Electric Lake down in central Utah. Back then you couldn't keep any cutts over 12" there. I was flyfishing, so I wasn't expecting to mortally wound a fish, but they were just so aggressive that day that one that was about 13" inhaled my bugger and got hooked in the gills. It was bleeding badly, so I decided to chance it and keep it. Well, the warden was watching me with his spotting scope and saw me keep it. I explained my case to him, and he agreed that it sucked, but in the future I'd have to just put it back anyhow. Thankfully he just gave me a warning. Overall though, I have to say I'm really happy to hear that they're checking people a bit up at Daniels. I also appreciate the fact that Idaho seems to really focus on developing trophy waters.
