I understand what you are saying, I guess if you wanted to protect the fish you could fish with just jigs and pull the worms out of the water to avoid one completely swallowing a hook. I have been told that if they do swallow a hook to cut the line and let it rust out instead of tugging at it and hurting the fish more. Although I dont usually have the problem of a two fish limit as I spend most of my time at palies.
