I prefer to use the Boomer line for long casting ability and with a 3grain sinking tip. That gives is just enough sink to surpas the nuetral bouyancy effect and slowly sink through a feeding school. You can use a lighter sinking tip if you go with a weighted fly.

Many times I will use leadwire laced flies with a floating tip for the same effect. 21 wraps of .020 will add @ 1/4 oz to the fly. This is a killer effect and get a lot of attention.[cool]
