That would be my understanding as well. I've even been told of people that have caught a limit, cooked it and eaten it then went back to fishing and were then ticketed for it. [#ff0000][/#ff0000][#ff0000]Once you have your limit, you are done for the day is my understanding.[/#ff0000]

I understand this in most places, but on the South Fork, does this still apply to the way you understand it? As you stated your limit is the bag limit for that day, but what about the Rainbows and Hybrids that have no limits? That would say to me you can fish all day since there is no limit on those 2 species even if you caught your limit of browns. You just have to throw any browns or Cuts back. Also, you can not keep any Cuts so there is no limit for them, does that mean you can not fish for other species? Ririe seems to be another place this would pertain to since Perch have no limit. How many people have you seen catch a limit of Kokes there but keep fishing for perch and just throw the rainbows or kokes back? The problem is not really the people, it is the way F@G write the laws. You have to be an attorney to understand the regulations in someplaces, and everybody interrupts things differently. Some places like Henry's is quite simple, 2 fish of any kind.
Here is another one. If you catch 4 Rainbows and 2 Cuts on Pali
es Res, your done for the day since you have your bag limit and go home. If you do not eat them and they are still in your freezer, can you go fish the South Fork the next day for Rainbows and Hybrids since there is no limit on them? Or does this fall under the possession limit? Is this possession limit all encompassing to all lakes and rivers or just the body of water you caught them on? Inquiring minds want to know. I have emailed F@G some of those questions weeks ago and still no response. I think they are afraid of opening a can of worms.
All I am saying is some people do not understand the rules because of the way they are written and interpreted. Not every one you see fishing illegal may being doing it on purpose. I do know there are others which disobey the law on purpose and I have turned in a few myself. I try to follow the rules like most people, but until F@G gets there regulations written so everyone can understand them, there will always be some problems. Giving F@G a call and saying come check things out is the way it should be. It is their job to understand and interpret the law and police the fishing areas.
