That would be my understanding as well. I've even been told of people that have caught a limit, cooked it and eaten it then went back to fishing and were then ticketed for it. Once you have your limit, you are done for the day is my understanding.

I also have nothing against catch and keep. It's the abuse of a resource that I'm against.
