Pontoon seat post?

[font "Calibri"][/font]Someone suggested I add a seat post so I sit a little higher on the water and maybe make flipping for bass a little easier. How much does adding a seat post to a pontoon boat change how it works? I have an Outcast Fish Cat Cougar, so it’s very stable. I’m not worried about it getting tippy (I can’t imagine how freaked out I would have been in forgiven’s situation.) but I’m wondering if it will make rowing harder? Is there anything else I should be aware of? I looked at a 7” post the other day and it seemed surprisingly long. Anyone have an experience or advice to share?
