Anybody Southwestern Idaho Fisherman out there?
#4
I live between Nampa, Kuna, and Meridian.

I haven't tried it in quite a few years, but most winters you can get a tube on Anderson Ranch near the dam. I used to catch a lot of trout during the winter there.

I have also had a tube on the Wilson Trophy pond (and the smaller ponds for that matter). Used to catch some very nice trout there (on the Trophy pond), but I think it has had most of the fish poached out of it, so I don't go over there very much. I will often take my grand daughter over and fly fish the north pond from the bank and let her help me bring them in. We always get a few.

Won't be long now until you can get a tube back on places like Horsethief, Herrick, Sage Hen, etc. I generally don't do much spring fishing as I have been pursueing turkey most years, but I think that I am going to give it a year rest. There weren't many turkeys left after the big winter kill last winter. I plan on doing more steelheading and salmon fishing instead.

You western guys give me a PM if you want to go do something some time. My work schedule allows me to do a lot of hunting, fishing, etc.
