As I posted on Windriver's Ririe report I took my daughter to Roberts this weekend. When we first got there the perch nailed her jig as soon as it got in the water. She didn't have to try very hard to catch them, just drop the line in wait a few seconds then pull out a fish. After about a half hour, the stars shifted or the moon rotated a little or something, because they quite biting hard and started being normal perch, and you had to watch for the slightest nibble. Part of the reason I love fishing is trying to figure out why fish behave the way they do. What can trigger them to change their behavior when they are buried under two feet of ice?
