I think you are the one that will have to decide on the set.
There are several here that like one seat while others don't, it is your rear that will be planted there[
]
As far as tooning this time of year, if there is no ice on a body of water, then the temps aren't freezing, I would go for it for sure. Your hands and feet might get cold and by all means, practice common sense in wearing a lot of layers and the PFD. Plus weather changes hard and fast right now so watch that also.
