Macks are different from many fish in that they can burp off gases as they are raised from deeper depths. Occasionally, for whatever reason, some macks are unsuccessful at doing this and it has been suggested by some of the mack-chasers on BFT that one has a method to get these macks back to the bottom as quickly as possible. They make gadgets designed to do just that and some anglers make their own.
