I really was not trying to offend anyone. I thought the word Yahoo was not too offensive. Sorry if it came out that way. When there is a lot of noise on the ice there seems to be a lot less fish caught. On another day, we were fishing on ririe and started catching fish. Some nearby anglers saw that we were catching fish and came running with their power auger. They drilled a hole so close that some of their ice chips were hitting the back legs of my chair. That put the fish down as effectively as anything could. This may have been why the fishing was poor for some on Saturday.
I did run into one group of anglers who were fishing entirely with tip ups. My experience has been that you will significantly reduce your chances of catching a kokanee if the rod is not in your hand. I also saw a couple of people who were fishing with salmon fishing rods and the like. One person had the butt section of a rod with no tip. If you can catch kokanee without any flex in your rod you are a much better fisherman than I am.
Again, I should not have used the word Yahoo for those who did not catch fish and I apologise if I offended anyone.
