Early Spring River Walleye
#3
A Jig and meat in the spring is pretty hard to top but, it depends on the system itself and as usual - the fish. Lindy rigs work well. There again, days come up where the fish just want a simple minnow/leach/crawler on a plain hook (I use Octopus hooks size 8-2 depending on the bait size and fish attitude) behind some splitshot. I've also had some good days running cranks on a few rivers too. Just depends when and where on top of their behavior.
