Had the day off work, and my dad was out chasing ghosts somewhere else, so i decided to ride over to deer creek, i hit the charleston bridge first, caught a few trout and one small mouth, it was about 12 inches. I rode further down the river and was about 100 feet from the lake, i was drifting a worm with the current and caught a few trout and a walleye. all were small. I decided i would try something new, so i put on a banjo minnow, the biggest one i had, and was making it pop the surface, after about 5 cast a huge brown came out of his hole and nailed it, it turned out to be about 20 inches and weighed about 3 pounds. that was about it for my day at deer creek.
