Well, just thought I would let you know that I got my humminbird finder this week. Took my 3 year old grandson fishing this weekend on a small pond and got to try it out. Ever try to explain to a 3 year old why there are fish on the finder but not on the hook? [
] Just never did come up with a good answer to that question. LOL However, he did manage to catch a big palm size bluegill and a turtle before the day was over. Of course, we never did see them turtles swimming across the screen.
The finder actually did much better than I thought it would. Water was calm though and I did notice that the finder works much better if you get it up high when it is a good ways out there. Graphics are a little basic. All in all not too bad for a first try at this type product though. Can't wait for Humminbird to start improving on it. It is bound to get better.
Now if I can just get Humminbird to show them turtles on the screen as something else other than a fish!!!!! [
