I have an aqua-vu and I agree with the above post, a tri-pod with the rubber locking ring is a must! I have never thought about rigging it looking straight down vs sideways, i might have to try it. When I rig it I send down the camera to look at the contour of the bottom as well as to see if any "victims" are near[
]. When I find what I want, I drill one hole about 1- 2 feet away, set up my shelter and alignt my second fishing hole in a straight line with the other two. Depending on water clarity I can usually see both setups with ease. I dont believe the camera bothers the fish at all. Most times I will have several fish come right up to the lens and
