I'm cheap but I just use my video/digital camera tripod. Its a good idea since you don't have a good idea which way its pointing to get some waterproof white paint, hang the fish camera end over a house or something, see which way the camera is pointing and paint one side of the cord white. That way when your fishing, you see the white painted line and you know which direction the camera is pointed. Overall, the camera is kindof a pain. The only place I found that was worth it was ice fishing at strawberry where you have a lot of visibility.
