I see in your pictures that you have a Fishing Buddy fish finder. How do you like it? A friend loaned me one and I was pretty disappointed on the first trip out. Then, before the second try, I read the owner manual and followed its advice by turning on the fish finder and the background light before leaving the warmth of the vehicle. Since the owners manual indicated that it may not work below 14 deg, I decided I would also wrap it in an insulation layer as well. On the second trip I was very impressed. Using it, we turned a pretty slow day into a so-so day and increased our catch by about 1/3 per my estimation. I thought that was pretty good for my second time using it. I hope that as I become more familiar with it, I'll be able to make it more effective. I used some old foam rubber and duct tape and made a more permanent insulation cover layer. I'll be giving it a try at the DC tournament this week end. Have you got any tips I might find useful with FB?
