Anyone here use a Drop Shot Rig?
#7

Hi there troutman,

Can't disagree with anything said. I kinda like to fish the structure I think will produce for the day and am pretty stubborn about not changing strategy very soon.

I'm familiar with a lot of the areas I fish so if I think the fishies are in say the depressions made by tides going around bridge supports, I'll be using the best rig for that structure, for that species, for that period, for that tide.
Often, it's one and the same.

I believe in working a certain rig consistantly, you'll learn how to fish it better in the long run. Some very successful flyfisherman in the old days used nothing but one pattern day in and day out and they did alright. I think, well maybe, that's what they wrote. ha ha ha

I'm lucky as I don't eat fish so most of the time my not catching fish does not disrupt my dinner plans. ha ha
