I fixed mine the redneck way. They sell this stuff at Home Depot that you cover your house windows with in the winter. It's basically a shrink wrap. It's clear and you put it on whatever and when you heat it with a hair drier, it shrinks and is nearly un-noticable.
That's all I did to mine was put a piece of that over the face of it, kinda overlapping the side so that it would go around and stick to the back of the unit. Then when I shot it with the hair drier it shrunk down and is now fully operational with a clear plastic cover over it.[
] This wasn't a new unit of course, I wouldn't have risked ruining a new one, but it turned out to work fine.
