Before I came down into the basement to type this; I looked where there was once a sink in my kitchen and I see the doom that lays before me--it is filled with 235 perch that my son and I caught at Roberts from 1:45-5:00 pm. Before I start filleting I believe I will pop four pain killers, as the back is already sore. As regards to fishing it was fast and furious with fish caught on a small green shrimp style jig sometimes with a perch eye, but many were caught without any bait what so ever. I will mention that my new ice cube allowed us to see when fish took the bait, so we had quick hook ups. We did catch one small trout. Ice is a good clear six inches. I am curious if anyone can estimate how many perch there are in Roberts, as most of you know they are 9/10 five inches. I don't know if its possible to make an actual dent in the population where fish could grow to a reasonable size. Many have mentioned this, but if you have kids this is the place for them to catch many fish and develops a new generation of fishermen/women.
This may be my last post for awhile, as I will be filleting for a couple of weeks[
