Reflections of the Past Year
#2
And a Happy New Year to you, Burt, and all the other Bigfishers. I, like you, gave up the ice years ago, but the following reports from Kootenay and Arrow Lakes, just north of the Idaho border, are enough to get your juices flowing for some winter fishing. These two are just about the only guides on the two lakes. We fished Kootenay this spring w/o a guide, and did well, but certainly not the numbers that these guides get. The trout rarely go less than 4 #s, and 6-8 is average. Some are in the low 20's! See you at L.P. this spring! Mike
