Lost Dog, Burbot Bash Jan 10, 2009
Some anglers attending the Bash may not be familiar with some of the Wyoming Regs and Wiperhunter2 asked if I would share some info and suggestions.

1. [#ff0000]UT anglers can buy a Flaming Gorge[/#ff0000] [#ff0000]Reciprocal stamp for the WY end of the reservoir. [/#ff0000] It's $10, runs on a calendar year, and can be purchased where WY licenses are sold. If you're coming from the Vernal direction, Kenneth's Catfish in Vernal and Slaugh's Chevron in Manila carry the stamps. If coming from the SLC direction, the Sports World in the Jubilee grocery store in Evanston carries them. I'm sure there is some places in Green River, WY too.

2. You can use up to 6 poles/tip-ups on the ice anywhere on the Gorge after January 1st. You're covered by either the reciprocal stamp or the annual licenses. [#ff0000]You need to make sure each pole or tip-up is marked with your name and that you only work your gear.[/#ff0000] This allows the COs to determine who owns what when they're checking anglers. Just a suggestion, I take the little mailing labels I get free from Rocky Mountain Elk, Ducks Unlimited, etc. and stick them on my rods and tip-ups. I get them in the mail all the time an they lasted the entire season last year too.

3. [#ff0000]If using a shelter, make sure it's marked with your name and address. [/#ff0000][#000000]My shelter has a clear pouch on the side.[/#000000]

4. [#ff0000]You don't need a Flaming Gorge Rec pass to park at Lost Dog.[/#ff0000] Apparently that is now limited to sites where there is an improved boat launch.

I can't think of anything else. Hope it helps, Ryno
