As LH2 said your buddy won't have to take a Utah hunter safety to get a tag.
You can use you points for any limited entry deer hunt (premium or regular limited entry)
If you two put in together, they average out your points and then round down. So if you have eight and your buddy has zero you will get credit for 4 points. It's a real [url "mailto
