There are plenty of good fishing spots in eastern ID and especially in the greater Yellowstone area. As for Salmon fishing I would have a hard time suggesting you do it in Idaho. Washington or Oregon would be better bets. But you can still catch plenty of fish around here. The Henry's fork of the Snake, the South Fork, Henry's lake, Hebgen Lake, the Madison River and many many more. Like he said, a little more specific detail on type of fishing you want to do would help. Boat or wade? River or Lake? Small in big numbers or large in smaller numbers? The thread requesting information for a trip by Missouri Mark has several good suggestions. As for Glacier area, just take a camera. The scenery is so spectacular I barely even thought about fishing when I was there a few years ago. I'll post a couple pics from there so you have a small idea of what I mean.
