I don't think there exists a laptop with a full desktop-sized keyboard. That would be a huge mother of a laptop. You can get a USB keyboard, plug it into your laptop, and type on the full sized keyboard though. You can do the same if you want to use a mouse instead of the little finger pad. There are also wireless keyboards and mice you can buy to connect to laptops.
With any brand of laptop, you can get a cheapy piece of junk or a solid reliable machine. You definitely get what you pay for.
I would make sure whatever you get has at least 2 GB of RAM, but you'll be much happier with its speed if you get 3 GB or greater of RAM.
Hard drive space, unless you download lots of movies and/or music online, you'll never fill up a hard drive that is 180 GB in size, and that is usually the minimum size they come with these days, so 250 GB is good too.
For a processor, I'd go with a Core 2 Duo - and get T3220 or greater.
