[cool][#0000ff]The springs are not marked and unless you know where they are, you are not likely to be able to find them the first time by yourself. Many of us have fished the area for years and know where they are by shoreline references...not GPS points.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]These springs have changed a lot over the years too. Sometimes they pour forth good volumes of warm (not hot) water and that really brings in the fish during the coldest months. However, for the past few years the flows have been much slower and cooler. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Also, in low water years you can often find the springs by seeing steam rise from their location. But, when the lake is high enough to cover them with several feet of water, it is difficult to find them simply watching for steam or watching the temp reading on sonar. I have been right over first spring and have not been able to see any difference in temperature from the main lake readings. But, if there is even a couple of degrees difference at the outlet the fish will find it.[/#0000ff]

Actually, there are lots of rock ledges and humps in the area and these are some of the only real structure in the lake...besides out at Bird Island and a very few other spots. Bring lots of jigs and fish light heads to keep from donating too much tackle.[/#0000ff]
