I picked up my first big striper today! I was in my little home made boat testing my new firmware on its joystick controller and decided to do a little fishing while I was at it. All said and done I ended up pulling in a 34” 14lb striped bass on a slow trolled modified AC Plug.
I caught him around one of the trout plant areas. I can’t believe it, for the last two years I thought everyone was stretching the truth about big stripers in these waters!

Here he is on my garage floor pre-op...

Stomach contents... Looks like this one was hungry. A couple 9"-11" trout and a sunfish?
I always wondered if those $$$ 8" swim baits were too big. I guess not!
He's now wrapped in plastic and foil waiting for my grill. I know they say that the big ones aren't that great for eating, but I can't let him go to waste.
