If you are after smallies try casting crankbaits or curly tail jigs on the naorth side of the island. I have been doing good from shore in that area. A green rapala taildancer has been my lure of choice. If you get up there ealy enough you may even get a walleye. The smallies have been about 5 feet off the shore, so cast as close to shore as possible and reel in with a moderate retrieve. If you are after trout fish the provo river from charelston bridge to the lake. It is full of spawning rainbows right now. Cast a #5 rapala countdown in rainbow or brown trout into the deeper holes and you will catch trout all day long. Hope I could help.
