It's not just BassPro. I knew that was just an example. But that style, in particular, gunks up fairly quickly.
If you have to use the thinner anyway (and I agree with the Goddess; you never get the consistency quite right), may as well go with the nail polish from the get-go. It has several advantages, not the least of which it is always available.
You don't have to choose high-end polish, either (although even "expensive" clear nail polish isn't all that costly). It all works the same.
