Just got back from Henry's. Fishing was decent. Went up Thursday and came back Sunday. We averaged 20-25 fish per day, biggest was 5lbs 3oz @ 24". Landed quite a few 3-4lb fish. Thursday was cold with water temp @ 37 in the morning and 39 by evening, but no wind. Friday was excellent, water temp average 38 and no wind. The state boat dock had about 1" of ice on it and was a little slick as 4-Wheel Drive was required and the temp was 14 degrees at 8AM. It was glass smooth and the best fishing. Saturday rolled in with 30+ mph winds, huge waves, winds changing direction and was down right cold, but we fished all day and rode the waves. Still caught plenty of fish even tho there were only 3 other boats left on the lake by the time we left out of the 40+ that launched that morning. Sunday was a little slower and nothing over 3 lbs, but still a nice day after the wind died down around 11am. I sucked a rock into the impeller Sunday morning next to the north shore. Could not find the little sucker so top speed was 7mph until we got back to the dock and finally found where it was wedged in the impeller. Good thing we were just trolling. We tried some bait fishing on the bottom, but it was slow and the fish were hitting the bait very lightly. With out using 2 anchors it was tough to stay put so you could see the "nibble". The water is turning and there is a ton of weeds floating around at times. The fish are in the shallows in the weeds. Overall, a very good relaxing weekend up there. Can't wait for spring to roll around and do it again.
