Watch out for "email fishing" scams too!
I once was sent a message that my Pay Pal account was broken into—and I fell for it, duh! In fact, I fell for two of them, oh my.
I got my Wells Fargo bank card used twice! Luckily I got all my money back though. Luckily I spend quite a bit of time on the net.
Then another time I got as message from "Wells Fargo" that my account needed to be "updated". I fell for that. I got $100 stolen, but got it all back.
Not trying to prove here how stupid I was being but I spent so much time on eBay buying things I honestly thought it was broken into. In fact had it happen the other day, luckily I looked at the address bar and could obviously see it was not official.
Never lost a penny though.
