Thanks to everyone for the help. And it is quite helpful!

FG, to answer your question about the TFO rods: the 5wt is a ticrx and the 8wt is a ticr. I considered getting the ticrx for the 8wt but it felt like a 2x4 in my hand, and seemed a bit overkill for a scrawny guy like myself. The professional you own, FG, is it a 6pc? And if so, do you think that hinders the strength and response of the rod?
