I'll try. Don't move or touch the animal. Don't even gut it. They will want to see everything as it is most likely. Go to the first place your phone will work or there is a phone and call. Then meet whoever they send out where they tell you too. It's that simple to turn yourself in.
A friend of mine watched a guy shoot a moose on the deer hunt a few years back and then take off. As soon as they got phone service they called the DWR. They were told the guy was the first to call and they were taking care of it. I didn't follow the case so I don't know what happened to him but turning himself in before everyone else did probably helped.
