At least 6. On sinking lines I just use regular fishing line. I prefer Fluorocarbon and I prefer P-Line brand. 3' to 5' 6 lb, put a loop in the end and loop to loop it straight to the fly line. Presentation is not an issue with a sinking line, so why waist money for a tapered leader.
For a second rod, the TFO would be an excellent choice. I think if I were you (and this is just me) I would make it the 5 weight. Because I do allot of stillwater along with rivers and I will use a 5 on Daniels or even Strawberry. I would try on one Henry's but I just know I would hook into another 30+[laugh]
