TC Omega
#4
I'm not an expert (I just got my Omega this year too) but I would say that you'll need to get to the range and find out what your gun likes. Many of the experts that helped me when I 1st started told me that every muzzleloader is different, and that the best thing to do is try different combinations of bullet, powder, and primer until you find something that groups well for you.

With that said, the 1st one I tried worked great for me, so I haven't had to tinker around with it. I decided to go with a bigger bullet (300gr TC Shockwave) because I am hunting both elk and deer and didn't want to have to work up 2 different loads. I have been pushing it with 100g Pyrodex pellets and CCI 209 primers. I have had similar results LH2.

If you don't want the heavier bullet, then a 250gr Shockwave is another good choice. Hookjaw Brimhall shoots that with 100gr 777 pellets and a CCI primer and gets great groups as well.

Again, I haven't tried any other loads, but I would highly recommend the Shockwaves. From everything I have read on numerous forums and product reviews, they are a top notch bullet. Fairly easy to load, accurate (especially out of Omega's), and they do them job when they hit the animal.
