My youngest daughter is 12 this year and she has wanted to hunt her whole life. My only requirement is that she had to pass her hunters safety, and she has to be able to shoot her deer rifle herself. It's a youth model 6mm. If she can't shoot it, she can't hunt. I think if a kid is physically able to shoot a deer rifle, and obeys all laws associated (must be with an adult, etc.), then I'm all for the 12 and 13 years olds hunting.
That said, I'm a little nervous this year about going up into the hills knowing that there will be some fairly largish 12 and 13 year olds this year out hunting for the first time, and their parents are at camp sleeping...

I used to N.ot have E.nough T.ime O.ff to go fishing. Then I retired. Now I have less time than I had before. Sheesh.
